Hi,
Some or most may have been mentioned, and some are/might be an issue with channel providers but I'd like to see:

- DLNA!
- USB connectivity for PC playback/ video capture
- Embedded web browser with JavaScript/flash support, etc.
- A full keyboard remote, especially if embedded web browser happens
- Parental controls per channel
- Netflix parental controls (keeping me from buying that second Roku!).
- The ability to clear the "recently watched" from the new Netflix GUI, don't want the kids able to click through to what the wife and i watched the night before
- Hulu and Youtube channels

Rebranding sounds like it cost money, options are missing or something is locked down (or Sony is invloved)...
I thought DLNA was locked down with DRM or something and why I used and liked UPnP?

DLNA is a rebranding of a subset of the UPnP specifications (UPnP AV). There are some differences between the two, but the differences mostly the branding and certification process, not the technology/protocols.

DLNA/UPnP is easier than regular file sharing for a number of reasons. A few include:
1. Discovery: automatically discover servers sharing content)
2. File/format support: The client can tell the server what formats it supports, and then the server will either filter the content to only list supported content or some servers will transcode the content to a compatible format on playback.

Just an FYI -- The remote reboot key sequence also automatically sends error log information to Roku HQ for analysis. Roku has stated previously that they would prefer people only use this key sequence when a reboot is absolutely necessary, such as a locked or frozen interface. They just don't want to get a bunch of erroneous error log reports from people who are unnecessarily rebooting their boxes with this method, so use it with a certain amount of discretion.

Maybe they should add a regular reboot sequence then, or make it so their box doesn't crash all the time. Boohoo for them, I am sorry their email fills up with error logs...NOT!

This should be simple enough:
"Play All" for television episodes. Especially annoying with 22 minute shows.

I recently got a reply from Grooveshark after sending them a link to the Roku developer page saying that they would put developing a Roku channel "on their list". Still pretty vague, but it's the first time I've seen them acknowledge the Roku. If you use Grooveshark take a minute to email or post on their Facebook page letting them know you want a channel. If you've never used them take a minute and check them out. Think Pandora with the ability to build and store playlist and save entire albums to your profile.

I would love an iPhone app. Especially the ability to control apps like pandora without having to turn on the projector.
Thanks for your time.

I'd buy a new Roku box in a heartbeat if I could run Skype from it. I'd prefer to provide my own cam.

Parental controls with channel ratings done by Roku and if possible have the content rated by roku.

Flash support do server side rendering or add dlna support so a service like playon can be used.

NetFlix related:

A way to delete ‘recent viewed’ items?

A way pick the order of the various movie genres as they appear on the screen ?

General
1) A way to pick the order of the channels shown on my TV screen. For example, I’d like ‘radiotime’ to display next to Netflix. Allow a method to re-arrange the channels. Add just a simple move left or move right icon like seen in AVS products.

I love it. Digital video player Roku began streaming video in your living room was orginally called the Roku Netflix player and helped Netflix Instant occur in the lounges. Roku has announced that all customers Roku digital video recorder will receive a software update free and automatically in early 2009 that will add access to video on demand service Amazon

This is my first post so if it's in the wrong thread I apologize.
I would like to see a feature that allows me to watch videos that are on my pc on my Roku player.
I plan to upgrade to Windows 7 and wasn't sure if this should have been in the Windows 7 thread in the soundbridridge post.
