I've created a new SoundBridge remote control application that provides a bit more power than what the remote control provides. It's open source, and it still needs a little work, so I'd be excited and pleased if anyone would like to join the source forge project.

Robert,

I don't have access to an M500, so I wouldn't be able to test SBC with one. Reviewing the documentation, the M500 doesn't support the display-copy command so I wouldn't be able to duplicate the M500's display on the remote.

Naturally, if someone with an M500 wants to join the project, they are welcome.

Cool - thanks for sharing.

I only tried the .exe so far. Works well on M1000, but seems not to adjust the display area for the M2000. Not being a java person, I'm not sure where to go or how to fix that.

Hi - Sorry - I should have explained. The display stays the same width as for the M1000 and the top 8 and bottom 8 rows of pixels are lost.

So the full height time and date display looks like this...

The current build centers and clips the M2000 to 280x16. I checked in a fix for this yesterday, so it should work in the next build.

Well, that, and I'm planning on convincing buchanan to adapt artwork he did for his earlier SB remote program. :wink:

But, seriously, I'll keep your offer in mind. The biggest constraint we're working under is that the dimension of the window is controlled by the size of the Roku display; which means the size of the buttons can vary, so I designed the graphics to fit in as small a space as possible. We've got some ideas we're playing around with, though, to make things more compact and flexible.

I think the graphics are important, too.

The most people will never see, how beautiful the code is, they just see how the GUI is. Your program is nice in case of functions, but don't forget usability and graphics.
